Sorry I've been out of touch. I've been enjoying relatives mostly. My 88 year old mom got to visit for 5 days with her wheelchair. I have more heart for wheelchair life I hope. Mom was dear and fun. She kept apologizing for being a bother. With 4 teenagers and 2 in their twentys helping with the lifting and pushing it was not a
bother. We loved to get her talking about the past. She loved singing with us and
watching my 2 year old granddaughter (her great granddaughter). My oldest daughter brought her bran new baby over for an afternoon. My oldest boy living in Colorado came on his motorcycle for the 4th of July. He stayed a few days. I loved his visit.
He's the life of the party type. Now he's back at his cubicle at HP. Alas..I'm back to sheep drawing and song singing in my spare time. My 16 year old has really become an amazing cook and housekeeper lately. I'm neither bad or good at these things. I have just daily winged it for years. She is so organized and complete with everything. Surely we all have our specialties. Though many things we must do even if we're not terrific at it. I have been reminded that my Father in Heaven really does father me still with his loving care. I sure need Him. Do you find you do too? Any interest in Cartoon Sheep lessons?

It's been awhile since I was at the keyboard. Alot has been happening around
here. My oldest girl just had her first baby. It is such a tremendous rush to have your daughter pull through labor and have a healthy baby. I love watching what
a good mother she is. She is so devoted. Also my oldest son arrived yesterday
from Colorado on a motorcycle. He drove about 1000 miles to get home. We were
all so excited to have him home. I haven't had the empty nest syndrome but losing
them one at a time to the big world isn't the easiest part of life is it. When
I have all nine gone I'll feel the real impact I guess. Right now with 4 teenagers
things keep pretty interesting.(and 2 in their twenties ) Just keeping meals ,cars and towels available is the family focus. The 6 that are home sang for a large
church and at a park in the last 2 weeks. Two of the boys sang in a men's quartet
some patriotic songs. I wish you could hear them. I lead worship on Wednesday
and love to sing harmony with whoever I hear singing. Do you like to sing?
Has anyone ever heard When He Cometh? I like many styles of Christian music.
But I do really have a crush on the old Hymns right now that seem kind of Irish.

Hello, Welcome to my First Blog!
My son set this up for me and just showed me how to use it(somewhat).

I am a mother of 9 and glad I had each of them. Sometimes we sing together.
We sing Christian music of various styles. Sometimes the girls sing. Sometimes
the boys sing. Sometimes we all sing. Three of them have now gotten married, so it's rare to have them all here at once. It's one of my favorite moments of life.
I'm so glad they have this gift. We sing just around our valley at churches,
parks and senior centers. We use guitars, violins and sometimes piano. I hope it
goes on into their adulthood. Four are still teenagers. Some people have these
"great" careers going on at my age. I guess I majored in motherhood instead.
So I just try to do alittle of this and that where I'm needed and when I've got
energy. It's not for everyone. But I find it's my assignment. Otherwise I like
art, singing, piano, and writing. My latest hobby is drawing sheep cartoons with
Christian anecdotes and lessons. I may post some up later when my son shows me how to put images up.
